The front 2 burners are bad about not heating to the set point and sometimes not turning off. I thought I was going to have to flip the breaker last night. Have any of y’all dealt with this before? I hope to fix it myself.

I should have mentioned, nothing is stripped (at least on the outside) and turning it around and around doesn’t always do anything to the heat output.

Looks just like the one I just had to replace. Tech came out said they no longer made the control panel for it. Cheap crap from overseas. Believe it was a lg though. Replaced it with a much cheaper whirlpool.

Time to replace the stove. Had a board go out on one. Found the replacement board but the only problem was they had stopped making them so whatever was out there was all there was and the warehouses knew it. So for another 75-100 dollars I bought a brand knew stove with a warranty. Might not be the case with yours but it does sound like a board gone bad.

Open the top and see if you can swap the bad burners rotary knob with one that works correctly. If the problem goes away, then it is the knob.

I have one that has to be kicked over to about 11 or 10 o'clock for it to turn off. That's just my situation.

You would think in 2019 we wouldn't be dealing with simple things like this.

Replaced the knob switch ($12). So far so good. We'll see if that does it. Would be a huge financial savings if so.

I have an island cooktop, glass top like that. One eye will periodically decide to switch to high and stay there. It will also fail to turn off. If I rotate the knob to off, then to low and back to off it turns off. Scares the living heck out of me. I'll be replacing with a gas cooktop in the near future.
