Rifle has synthetic stock with a 22” fluted barrel and is topped with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40. This rifle shoots good groups with Barnes TTSX ammo and has been a good shooter for me.
I’d like to trade for a 6.5 creedmoor or 308.

Take my advice and go with a .308. I try to talk everyone out of .243 and go with .308
There's not enough recoil difference between the two when starting a young person to worry about.

There's not enough recoil difference between the two when starting a young person to worry about. Why talk em out of it?? .243 is as deadly as any .30 caliber. Bigger bullets don’t fix bad shots. 🤦🏻♂️

There's not enough recoil difference between the two when starting a young person to worry about. You won’t talk me out of a 243, every deer I’ve killed in the last 3 years has been with a 243. I’ve just got 1 to many. Now, does anybody want to trade?
