Hope we get some rain soon or my pond is going to be one dry. It’s lower now than it was when we had the drought 3-4y ago.

Just got back from feeding the spin feeder after a month since last filling. I usually forget and dump rain water from the lid on myself. It was dry and dusty.

Yep. I'm spreading lime Tuesday and plan on making a lap around the pond being the water line has receded several feet in some places.if we could have a hard south or north wind that would help a lot.

Got a big brushpile in my backyard that ive been needing to burn. Ain't gonna happen till I get a rain. Woods around my house are Dry!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

We got a good one early this morning. It has rained here 3times in the past week or so. Not the kind of rain that raises a pond but the kind that is keeping my fall garden alive. I appreciate every drop we get. If we think back 6months I do believe we were complaining that it was raining too much.

My pond may have dropped a few inches 3yrs ago during the drought. It’s at least a ft low or more now. The spring must be drying up. The spring next to my driveway has never been dry. It is now. We need rain bad!!

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I don't think it's rained here in about two weeks.

We've had less than 5" of rain since May.

Yep. We'll be feeding hay at the most within two weeks. They'd eat it now. We just got finished with our 2nd cutting of hay for the year. Many years we'd be getting ready for our 4th cutting about now. The USDA drought map isn't real accurate. We're right on the edge of "None" and "D0"

Toothdoc, you not get any of that torrential rain Friday night at the farm? We were out riding on the pontoon trying to enjoy the full moon and had to go back to boat slip. It came a flood several times in Rainbow City.

Dont get our hopes up. I copied this from alabamawx blog!

NEXT RAIN CHANCES: The next rain chances look like they might come early in the following week, around Tuesday the 24th as a front sneaks into the area. DOn’t get your hopes up as far as rainfall goes, however. Amounts will be generally light.

IN FACT: Don’t get your hopes up through the end of October, if the Euro is to be believed. It is calling for less than a third of an inch of rain through the end of October for much of Central Alabama.

It came a hurricane at work for about an hour. I get a mile from home (ten minutes away) and not a drop.

Yup. This is regular for my area. All the mud holes have been full for the past few years with the wet summers we've had. Just a cycle in weather. Did anybody see the moon last night? Fall is on the way.

It be's that way sometimes.

Yes it is. I'm not far from Fur and we are hurting for grass and rain bad. Our ponds are several feet low.
