I got selected for 2 Portland landing hunts.
Got selected as an Alternate for Portland landing gun deer hunt for Jan. 23. Most likely I will not get the opportunity there this season since someone has to decline there hunter status for myself to move to hunter status. Well there you go, when southwood accepts one it’ll automatically decline the other. I hope you get it man.

That’s what pisses me off about the whole deal. The DNR is so incompetent, they can’t even manage their own quota system. You’re the 3rd person who I’ve talked to, that was drawn for a hunt that I applied for, with less preference points than me. What are the purpose of preference points if they don’t give someone with more points the preference? This is the same crap as the gator hunt. Sorry, rant over
