Mtn dew, dr pepper, then pepsi. I will take a coke but preffer cold cold pepsi.

None taste like they use to. They use to burn your eyes and nose so badly back in the 80s. They taste like the delivery guys play basket ball with the cases. Aint worth crap. Just flat and weak tasting compared to years ago.

I drink 1 can of mtn dew at lunch if i cant get decent sweet tea.

If i leave the house for work or play, i carry a small cooler, frozen water bottles for ice, 4 bottled waters and 1 can of mtn dew. I refuse to pay $3 for a 20oz coke. I quit buying when they hit over .75 cent after tax for a 20oz back in 2000.

If I have to choose between those 2, Coke. Prefer sweet tea and drink maybe a couple of Mountain Dews a week.

The only time I will drink a coke is if there is some really chitty whiskey. Otherwise never touch soft drinks.

Water, coffee, unsweet tea, beer or booze. That's pretty much it.

With rare exceptions I don't touch soft drinks much at all & haven't for years, but will pick Coke over Pepsi if given the choice. I do enjoy a Coke float maybe once every two years...

Diet Coke. I can’t do regular coke. Can’t abide the taste of Pepsi. Diet Dr Pepper if it’s a choice over Pepsi.
I’ve noticed, generally, a correlation with restaurants and soft drinks. Any time a place that had coke products switches to pepsi, expect them to be out of business in 6 months.

Flip a coin. Doesn't matter to me. I can tell a difference in the two, but I'd just as soon have one as the other.

Basically, whichever one is cheaper.

Definitely Coke between those two, but Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew are both better. None of them compare to good sweet tea.

BGD,

This is what the show I watched illustrated. Coke was able to tie certain memories (mostly childhood) tied to Coke. I remember collecting bottles as a kid for the 5 cent return and buying a bottle of ice-cold coke after fishing at the neighborhood lake all day.

i haven't seen this show -- but i do know a thing or two about sales & marketing -- and from a pure marketing standpoint, Coke did a WAY better job building their brand than Pepsi; IOW, yes, we consumed Coke, but it was an "experience" -- your story illustrates that perfectly ... love 'em or hate 'em, but Starbucks has established their brand identity on a similar experience with their coffee ...

Neither for me when I used to drink soft drinks.

My "go to" soft drink was Dr. Pepper.

When I quit them I was drinking 2 to 3 of the 20 oz. Dr . Pepper's per day.

I quit them cold turkey on May 2, 2017.

I have not had a soft drink of any kind since that day.

I would love to drink a Dr. Pepper every once in awhile now but I know this for a fact, if I have ever been addicted to a substance in my life, it was Dr. Pepper.

I think if I drank one I'd be right back hooked on them so I don't.

On another note, I own some of the very first bottles that Coke was bottled in.

They are old.
