The title says it all... I'm looking at used Nissan 4x4 TItans with the 5.6 motor and mileage in the low 100k range. I know that Frontiers, Pathfinders and Xterras have transmission issues with coolant getting into the transmission fluid, but do any of the Titans have any common, reoccurring, or prevalent issues?

I’ve had 2.
Bought both used.
The one I’m driving now has 62k miles and I’ve had it since it had 19k miles on it. No issues. It’s a ‘14.
The other one I had was an ‘07.

All my research shows that they get awful mileage, but are reliable.

Depends on the year. I have an '04 that is still going strong and haven't had any major issues (knock on wood) but I know one common problem is the axle seals leaking

I've heard about the mileage, but my Ford Ranger 3.0 gets 17 most of the time. At least with the titan I'll have a V8.

Are you talking about the gasket at the differentials or some kind of internal seal? If so how much in repairs are we talking about if I was to be proactive about it?

Oh let's see, how can I say this? Bro, you don't need a truck. You didn't buy a tractor, you bought a lawn mower with a little bitty front end loader. You can haul that thing with a 4wheeler. You really don't need a truck.

I've got a 2008 4x4 with 235K on it. It has been a good one. I am currently having the entire front suspension rebuilt because I plan to get 300+ out of it. I will say that for some reason it seems to eat through front hub assemblies (bearings). I apologize for not getting back to you on my tractor (I decided to keep it for now).

Have an 11 with 199k. Runs like a champ. Knock on wood zero issues. You’d be making a wise choice getting one but fuel mileage does suck.

'08 pro fx, 1 front wheel bearing, 1 rear pinion seal (clogged vent tube), 1 broken overhead console, 3 or 4 batteries, all easy fixes, get 14.5 mpg. A/C will freeze you out. Best truck I've ever owned.

My grandad had plenty of trucks but he’d always haul his 4 wheeler with his 93 Honda Accord. That thing did pretty good even in the mountains.

My 06 burned up 3 rear ends from seal failure. The 4th they said had heavy duty axle seals and should fix it. I sold the truck no long afterwards. Besides that the best truck I ever owned. Been looking at them again lately and may be my next truck if I get away from F250s.
