regardless of your opinion on the laws surrounding concealed/open carry.............if you just think logically, Walmart's stance that concealed carry is ok but open carry is not, it simply doesn't make sense.

Walmart isn't saying you can't carry a gun in their stores, they're just saying they don't want to see your gun. WTH?? If I was concerned about someone using a gun for nefarious purposes, I'd much rather be able to see it and know they had it to begin with, than them keep it hidden until they decided to use it. That right there tells me that Walmart's whole "No Open Carry" policy is nothing more than classic virtue signaling and pandering to the anti-gun crowd. They're not even remotely interested in actually reducing crime or increasing safety, they're simply hoping to appease a certain group of people in hopes that it increases their profits a quarter of a percent.

I disagree Gomer. I know several places of business that have zero issues with CC but do not want open carry on their place of business. And several employees have guns cc’d at any given time.

Some places it’s appropriate (open carry) and some places it’s not. And sometimes open carry paints a big red target on your back. I’ll open carry mine in the woods and at the country mom n pop store I frequent when at the farm but that’s the only place

for a store to come out and say "concealed carry is fine, but open carry is not", is essentially saying that someone is more likely to use their gun for bad purposes if it is carried openly than if it is covered up by their shirt tail......and that is just completely nonsensical.

We already have Liberals trying their best to take our guns, probably not a good idea to bash our own 2nd amendment brothers because they choose to open carry. WHICH IS THEIR RIGHT!! That guy who open carries may save your life one day!

Perch everyone is entitled to an opinion in this country. My opinion is open carry is no more dangerous than CC. If your untucking a shirt or digging in your pocket or boot your drawing attention to yourself and you will be targeted. Open carry and concealed carry have their place in and out of town. I personally have experienced open carry being a deterrent to a robbery

Not a fan of open carry either. But there are times you will see two bulges underneath my shirt. One in the front and one on the side.

If Wal Mart doesn't want people to open carry on their own property, then that's their decision. Just like if I didn't like it on my own property then that would be my decision. I think open carry is for people who are trying to over-compensate for something anyway.

Wal-Mart has sold a lot of cell phones and accessories which inevitably have been the cause for loss of lives by distracted drivers. They also sell a lot of beer and wine which have caused the same. Where are their restrictions on these good? This is just CYA to get their insurers to lower rates and perhaps support some political agenda. Mostly it boils down to the bottom line. Just spend your dollars elsewhere.
