I’m glad I took the time to read that article. That is an incredible story, with such a positive impact on that young man. That’s amazing and incredible. That just shows what an impact a teacher can have and many kudos to UT.

It’s been making the rounds with the TN fans, I guess I’ll order all my family one. Pretty nice thing they have done.

So a kid pinned a piece of paper on an orange shirt wore it to school got picked on and now its a headline story about bullying? what did he or his parents think was gonna happen I would have laughed at him too if I was that age in grade school and somebody wore a sheet of paper from a legal pad on their shirt. do the parents not have any oversight to say thats probably not the best place for it how about we hang it up on the refrigerator for everyone to see instead son. yeah its cool they picked it up and made it an official logo or whatever but but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. kids are gonna find a reason to pick on somebody thats just life atleast teach your kids not to open themselves up to it. What would have hurt his feelings more mom and dad saying you cant wear it its against the dress code lets hang it up instead, or letting him wear it knowing half the class is gonna make fun of him?

Some Tennessee fans still have class. Very much unlike Bama fans.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Im willing to bet Mom and Dad aren't too involved! They probably didn't even see it. Some kids have horrible lives. I know a guy that adopted some children and when they opened the fridge, they had a break down. Said it wasn't un common for her and her brother to make a single pack of Ramen noodles last two days. The parents were there. You think they would even notice what the kids were wearing? This was a 10 and six year old. That's a whole different story, but just making the point that there are some SORRY "parents" ot there.

That's a whole different story, but just making the point that there are some SORRY "parents" ot there. Even if the parents were there, some are truly just getting by, living from paycheck to paycheck. The finances of buying markers, linen glue, glitter, ribbon, whatever aren't in the budget for a project, when food isn't even available. Yes, kids are extremely cruel, and yes, some kids are in a bad situation not by their choice, but due to the parents. We don't know the situation, other than a teacher made an effort to make the difference in some child's life, and in turn, it helped turn a crappy situation into a good one. Just my opinion. Could be a situation like what happened to us one day last week. We were in such a hurry to get the kids out the door we didnt even realize our 6 year old put on mismatched socks, his shirt on backwards and inside-out.

teach your kids not to open themselves up to it. or teach your kids not to be assholes that make fun of someone because they couldn't afford a shirt.
