I've been lusting over the new Evolution Series. LINK

Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

Shot some of Mr.Browns pistols, guy waited 2 years and 3 months for a .45. Read Tank Hoover's review of the 9 in American Handgunner....but I'd have to have it in .45 for that kinda dough.

Only hits count.

They are pricey which is why I don't have one.

I don't own any, but I've shot a few. They are nice!

1911's are my favorite pistol but I never have gotten into the real expensive ones as something I would keep forever. I'm just not into cosmetic stuff a government model with good sights has always done everything I needed to do.

That being said I have owned a few Ed Browns and they were nice pistols. Baer and Wilson are other options.... they are all so close it's hard to say. They are typically very accurate. And fancy.

Okay. Before I spend Ed Brown money I'd like as much honest feedback as possible.

Never had anything Ed Brown. They are great pistols though and I know several people who've had both those and Knight Hawk Custom. I do know that there is a difference in quality that most people would never recognize. For instance like the rear spring cover being milled or cast. There are all kinds of little things like that and the ridiculously tight tolerances that are finished by hand, etc. All those little things add up. But as far as I know , Ed Brown 1911's are supreme quality.

I have never heard anything negative about 1911's from Ed Brown, Wilson, Les Baer, or Nighthawk.

Others, not so much.

Great tastes in guns but not so much in the financial dept. lol.

Night Hawk Customs start at around 3k. I just can't seem to make it happen. I thought about opening a go fund me for a KHC Turnbull VIP.. eek

If you want something nice that will hold value.... Just go get a one of Colt's Snake Guns and only text pictures of it to James.....never let him see it in person.

Showing up with a Colt around a S&W guy..... much more entertaining than buying an Ed Brown.

I have a Ed Brown custom in 300 Win Mag. Its the lightweight version, Savannah I believe. It is by far my most prized Firearm. I bought it a year or two before they ceased production of there long guns
