What you did wrong was buying that junky unit. I was thinking about getting one for my kayak until i went to bass pro and the ones on the display counter were randomly shutting off and doing other goofy crap. The guy behind the counter said they were the junkiest units he had ever seen. I ended up saving a little more money and got a humminbird helix 7.
Yeah c’mon. Daniel White

I bought two when they were on sale and they’re pure schit like TFD said.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

Had it 2 weeks. I'm calling lowrance tomorrow and asking what I did wrong. Tuesday was my 1st time on the water with it. But I do take it off the boat when it's home because I just cover my boat in the yard. There isn't many instructions on waypoints that came with it.

Take it back and get a humminbird, garmin, or a higher grade lowrance. Preferably a unit with an actual map and not just a blank white screen for a gps map. I e also heard great reports about the raymarine dragonfly units.
