Interesting reading here. I bought my Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License in 1989. I retired in 2015 and I turned 65 in 2016. There are 2 things I will never do again: Buy another hunting license for Alabama. Take another piss test.  Don't be so sure of that, at least in regards to the hunting license. I bought a lifetime hunting and fishing license in 1988, and the fishing part even included saltwater back then. Well, it's still good, unless I want to catch a snapper. Now I have to buy a separate license for trying to catch reef fish. If they can do that and get away with it, then who is to say that they can't start requiring you to buy deer tags if you want to hunt deer? They will tell you that lifetime hunting license is still good; it's just not sufficient for hunting deer anymore. I think the Reef Permit is something of a trial balloon to see if they can get away with adding fees onto a previously sold license. If they are able to do this without having to defend it in court, expect a lot more such fees in the future.

This is nothing more than stealing $ from people. I am so tired of the gov constantly stealing money from the people. Legalizing baiting decreases the work load on the state, by reducing regulations that must be monitored. How do they justify stealing this $?
If it is now legal, how do they justify fining someone $250 for a $15 license. It is legal, so they can ONLY fine you for NOT having their license. Isn't there some law that sets the limit for a fine based on a percentage of the amount of the license? The charge can NOT be hunting over bait, but not having the license. You have a deer hunting license, so that is NOT in question.

For anyone who missed my edit, I think I am wrong that they have changed license requirements for over 65. I have to buy a Federal duck stamp, but I am now exempt from the state stamp. I still have no idea what the lifetime license for seniors at $35 is for. Sorry for any confusion I have caused.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
