I was hoping this was a hoax article, but a google search seems to indicate it's legit. The article claims they would ONLY use it to gather information on those who voluntarily opt into the program....right....because I'm sure would-be mass murderers (which is what this claims to be attempting to stop) will volunteer for this program. and I'm sure this potential technology would never be abused...
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

The interwebs says China will have their system fully implemented in 2020 and when it is the Chinese Gov will "manage the rewards, or punishments, of citizens on the basis of their economic and personal behavior. Some types of punishments include: flight ban, exclusion from private schools, slow internet connection, exclusion from high prestige work, exclusion from hotels, and registration on a public blacklist."
Also says it will do businesses this way as well. Not sure what criteria they will be looking at in people and businesses though, but they've already been punishing folks though with what they have implemented so far.

I would love to see something like this to protect business's from people who skip out on their Bill's, use bad checks, counterfeit money, pay with credit cards then dispute the charges etc. Would be awesome to look at a customers score and say yeah we will only accept cash in advance for your move in my case. Almost like a review of the individual since there are business reviews and the like. Might help some folks to act less crazy They already have that. It's called a credit bureau.

Right but I want it published so everyone knows if you are an honest person or a theif. Might make people change their ways if they called around to have a service performed and everyone said you have not paid the last 3 services you had performed so no.
