Everyone in the club baited every field and easy to access place on the property. I mostly hunted swamps and creek bottoms from a climber and killed 2 of the 4 shooters killed last year and I wasn't anywhere close to where they fed corn. I'm not opposed to people hunting however they want if it's legal but have never felt like I had to feed to kill a deer. If I ever thought I had to spend 100s or 1000s on supplemental feeding to be able to see deer I would quit hunting. I'm not opposed to the feeding. I like that I can put a gravity feeder on a logging landing with rock hard red dirt that doesn't have a chance in hell to grow a decent crop of wheat, but the feeder sits just fine. Why put in all that working farming soil that ain't worth a rip when I can let some feller in Iowa do it for me. What hasn't been discussed near enough are the alternative sources of food we can use besides corn now. I'll be feeding sweet potatoes and potentially carrots, too.
