Ben2 OP Old Mossy Horns Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 19,651 Pelham	Been several weeks since I have fished lay. Took the kids down to the sunday afternoon tournament and got real lucky. Had a 5.50 and a 5.00, drizzled rain temps in the low 80's, beautiful day on the water for August!

Ran a ton of good water early (that normally produces) and had a total of ZERO bites in the grass. Fished docks harder than I normally do and had ZERO bites. Fished a good stretch of ledge, and another hump in deeper water, ZERO bites. Schooling fish are all over most of the creeks / pockets, but doggone they are hard to catch. Finally picked off 3 fish apiece from the schoolers, just small spots (maybe 1-1/4 pounds apiece). Maybe it was just the part of the lake we were in, maybe it was just the day, I dunno..... I've had my feel of the Coosa this year, I've just had a struggle on all the Coosa lakes literally this whole year for the most part. Went to Wedowee yesterday and smoked 'em, caught them power fishing shallow, caught them finesse fishing deep, that place is just fishing good this year for sure. We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.
