GOOD POINT as I failed to mention price. between2-400.00

I've got a set or two of Bushnells that aren't bad at all in that price range. I think they are the legend series. I let the kids or guests use them. I use them from time to time, and don't mind at all. If you are sitting somewhere that doesn't have something for you to rest them on, I like the 8x42 as 10x42 involves a little more shakiness. Enough to notice. Get the higher end legend series. maybe it's an M. has prism glass and rain resistance.

I've used a buddy's Forge Bushnells for around 380 I think he said and they are a little better.

Others in that range, although I haven't used them much, but I see folks who have them are Vortex Viper and Zeiss Terra. I think Steiner makes one in that range also. Can't go wrong with any of those. If it were me, I'd spend a little more and get Vortex, Zeiss or Steiner.

50's are too large unless you are just sitting in a shooting house. My opinion anyway. Wife bought me a set of Pentax 10x42 in 2005. They were on sale for $300 I believe. Awesome glass. One of the eye pieces broke and they replaced free. 13 years later I might add.. I'm a big Vortex fan too. Their glass can't be beat for the price.

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

"GOOD" means good glass. Zeiss would be the best IMO, but 10 x 50 would be as heavy as hell!

I've had 10x42 Leupolds for a WHILE, dang good piece of glass.
Best all around.
I just bought a pair of 15x56 Vortex Vultures for a Coues Deer hunt in NM.
Those are gonna need a tripod.

I looked at a few different brands at academy on lunch today. leupold, bushnell and vortex. Allt he same size and the leupolds were the clearest of the 3 in my opinion..

Ha man y’all are really hating on my H.F. binoculars. I just got them because they were cheap and I needed another pair without spending much money. They have good reviews, so I figured they were worth a shot. Definitely not expecting top notch glass, but I expect them to serve me well for cheap 10x50 binocs.

I have found the quality of glass I need for hunting increases as I get older. Once I passed 50 the really cheap stuff that used to work fine was not an option anymore. I use a pair of Zeiss Terra 10x42s now and they just aren't cutting it anymore. I am dreading the cost of an upgrade from there.
