Here's the thing... In order for us as a planet to even remotely get off of the fossil fuel tit, it is going to take a lot of batteries. Lots and lots of batteries to store the energy when it can be made like when the wind is blowing and the sun is shining. In order to make those batteries it is going to take all the lithium in the World and it is going to take a lot of mines and lots of labor and lots of environmental damage.

So in the end we are trading the Devil we know for the Devil we don't know.

Call me a climate change denier, but what I don't understand is that the World has seen multiple extreme warming and cooling cycles in its history way before humans were even a thing, and certainly before humans even discovered fire and forged the first piece of steel.

At one time pretty much everything south of Birmingham was under water. And yet at another time there were forests 10 miles south of Mobile bay. Did humans cause those drastic swings in temperatures? No. Of course not. But yet here we are.

The concept of human caused climate change is simply a Socialist construct to control people.

I believe I read that the Mt St Helens eruption spewed more ozone depleting pollution into the atmosphere than man has created since our existence. Yet here we are rocking it. Mother Nature is a powerful lady and can overcome.

Well they don't believe in free markets or free anything other than what the government says is ok so the idea of crashing the free market economy doesn't really register to them as anything bad. Taking away rights and freedoms and property is progress to them.

They care about feelings over facts and ideals over realistic expectations. They'd rather let everyone die at the end of a government soup line than concede a millimeter on the utopia in their heads.

So the numbers are in and if we dont change then by 2100, 9000 people will die due to climate change / fossil fuels ... Thats actual Bernie numbers who I like way better then most of the other dem pres candidates. It just boggles the mind at the number of millions perhaps billions who would die in poor countries without fossil fuels. Starvation, freezing, famine, .

Good lord at the almost inmmeasureable number of deaths due to no petroleum products being used in pesticides or medicines. Americans who want to eliminate fossil fuel have their head buried so deep in the sand that folks in China are getting hemmorhoids!

Once you understand that none of this is really about climate change or "doing the right thing for the planet or the people" and you understand that it's all about controlling the population, infringing on our rights, freedoms and national sovereignty, while at the same time working toward a World governed by a Socialist elite then it all begins to make sense.

The underlings that actually believe in it and are passionate about it are nothing but expendable pawns in a quest for global domination.

I have never watched that movie. I was 4 when it came out. I read the synopsis. I bet our planet does a population "reset" before we get to that point. One of the reasons I think we should shut down our borders and maintain a strong military defense.

So one cannibal said to the other; " Dad I hate cousins". His dad replied; " Don't worry about them, eat your noodles"... Ole Charleton Heston tripped me out in that movie.

The entirety of agriculture is based on petroleum. Chemicals, petrochemical-based fertilizers, diesel. If you don't believe me, go back and look at corn yields from the 1950s per acre. It has at least quadrupled. And that makes for cheap food for the world.
