Never could pull it off. I could grab the rim but never dunk so I just stuck with football and played DE. Wasn't smart enough to play offense !

When my son Ed was 15, he was 6’2” and could dunk with ease. My brother actually videotaped him doing it and we actually taped the height of the rim and it was exactly 10 feet. Ed became a pretty good high school player and two of his classmates were first round NBA draft choices. His freshman year a senior named BJ Armstrong became an All American at Iowa and was drafted by the Bulls. His senior year they had a freshman named Paul Grant who played for Wisconsin and was drafted by the Timberwolves in the first round.

I could Dunk a basketball when i was in the 9th grade. At 62 years of age that is a distant memory. All i have to show now are 2 worn out, bone to bone knees that need replacing.

Not sure why this is a question. But, I could starting in 8th grade and it probably ended somewhere around my late 20's. I still feel kind of bad for breaking several of my friends goals (like an idiot kid). Playing with my kids I have found just touching the rim is all I can muster these days.

Started playing around and got pretty good with most of the fancy dunks. Windmill, off the backboard...etc....well fast forward 3-4 years..I was on scholarship playing baseball at south Alabama....was a pitcher...me and a couple guys were at the rec center shooting some hoops. I said check this out..threw the ball off the backboard and was gonna do a sideways tomahawk. Well when I went to plant, my ankle rolled and I went down like a ton of bricks. Being 21 and completely unaware of my surroundings and also it hurt like a mother, I went to cussing up a storm. I'm talking
loud and every word in the language. I guess it's funny now(20 years ago) there was an old lady arobics class going on in the same gym. They scolded me up and down for my language....bad part was this was mid season, missed 3 weeks...almost got my scholarship pulled...last time I ever dunked...or should I say tried to...haha

I played a ton of B-ball in the old South gym on Sunday afternoons. Played there and Springhill. Made some descent money too.
I could dunk (barley). I was a 3 machine though!

Don't blame me for your bad decision-

I could dunk in high school and college. Never had much love for basketball though.

I’m 6’1

As a Teen, I worked at the local Y. Part of my time was spent in the gym, monitoring it. Sometimes it was slow and I was bored and energetic so my 5'10" leaping ability improved significantly, but not enough to complete a dunk. Almost but not quite. Age and weight make that a preposterous notion now days. I could however shoot the lights out of a three pointer, which didn't exist at that time so just say I was a good long range shooter, as long as there was no one playing defense.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I could dunk a women's size ball easily, but a full size ball was hard for me to palm well. I could manage to dunk 1 in 5 with a full size ball. That was my senior year of high school, I can barely get a finger on the net now.

First time I dunked was 16, the last time was 33 and hurt for 3 days and have never tried again. Back in my college days I could dunk just about any way I wanted too.
