They were the cat's pajamas in the day. That was a lot of money back then too. They were fine boats for that era. Back then I'd rake or cut a 2 acre yard for $15 to $20.

Hell, that old ad is worth what some of those boats sold fro back then.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I doubt that you could buy one for that now. I was looking at a 16' cedar point special a couple of weeks ago. Needed some wood work, but was ready for the water with a 40hp Johnson. $2,500 was the asking price.

Hurricane Frederic took out that business. I've always hoped someone would come along and start building these boats again.

My dad had one we fished out of for years. Sold it to my uncle... I need to find out if he would be interested in selling it back to me. Caught a lot of fish on Escambia river back in the day....

I think they stopped building body's because they can't be competitive with fiberglass/aluminum prices anymore.

I don't think they have built boats much since they relocated to out off Three Notch road. Mainly sell trailer parts last time I was in there.
