I'll post this here instead of the main room, unless Y'all goobers don't know.

I have a Kimber Micro 9 and it hangs up on every brand of ammo I put it in. started with cheap stuff...then I figured out that Kimber won't feed cheap stuff very well...kept moving up in price / quality, but after 4 or 5 brands I can't find a brand that will eject properly. I read this about Kimber but bought this weapon anyway. bout to get rid of it.

Find a good gunsmith to polish the feed ramp....it shouldn't cost much and they should be able to do while you wait. That way your not shipping it off and wondering when youll get it back

Customer service is good, but their quality control has been lacking in the pistol department. I've heard that from at least 3 of my dealers in the last year.

Is there a chance you are limp wristing it?. My wife has a micro 9 and it was jamming with her shooting it. When I shoot it, it didn't miss a lick. She started holding it with a firm grip and it quit.

How exactly is it hanging?

Is it not extracting or is it not feeding properly?

If it's a feed issue, is it not feeding properly because it's not getting the empty out of slide before loading another one?

Is this a carry gun? I will assume it is bc most ppl don’t buy compact guns for range guns.

If so, trade that thing off. Get a shield. They are cheap, dependable, and carry good. I’ve got 2 of them, a 40 and a 9. I’ve put a bunch of rounds through both with no malfunctions using a variety of ammo.

I’m not saying this to bash your gun. I have zero brand allegiance. I just don’t like the idea of having to tinker with a carry gun or worry about ammo.

I have been told that you should run 2-300 rounds through the compacts before they are really reliable.

That being said, the Sig P365 was reliable straight out of the box.

responses to some of the comments.

not limp wristing. I have a cabinet full of handguns, this is the only one I have a problem with.

it doesn't eject the spent round. I have to remove the magazine and shake out the spent round, it tries to feed another round while the spent one is stuck.

I have 3 different mags, the one that came with it and I bought 2 more, all do the same.

It's not my carry until I get this fixed or just get rid of it. Yes, I have the M&P in .45 never had a problem with that weapon. I also have 3 SIGs 2 in 9mm and one .40, wife carries a Sig .380 never had a SIG problem. I have a couple of Colts, one of them is the Combat Commander in .45 and the other is the Double Eagle I got from the guy they booted from here for not obeying the selling rules. Both Colts are fantastic pieces of gear, tanks both of them.

If you have the feed ramp polished then have the chamber polished as well. Also could be an extractor problem but my bet is on the first two

I'll try that...I have put a little more than 200 rounds through it..at least 4 boxes of 50...trying different brands and quality.

I had a few problems with my Micro 9 when I first got it. After I broke it down and gave it a good lube, it'll run ANY ammo I put through it. Is your gun too dry by chance?

Polish feed ramps and chamber, run enough rounds through it to break it in, use only ammo gun likes, don't limp wrist it and....

Wow. Sounds like a very dependable self-defense weapon. slap

I’ve got two micro’s and I’ve probably put at least 500 rounds down one and well over 1k through the other and I can count on one hand the jams/other issues I’ve had with mine. Bout the cheapest stuff I’ve shot through them has been Blazer Brass and a lot of it.

Sig Sauer elite performance ...no hangups. not the most expensive but not the lowest price either. I think it was $13 for a box of 25...something like that. 50 cents a round...
