Which brands and models do you guys like? How long did they last? Were they warm? Looking to get a new pair under $200 for this coming season. I'd post in wing forum but it doesn't get much traffic.

I am a huge fan of the breathable waders. Rogers always has a good selection. Depending on when you are hunting (early or late season) makes a difference in whether insulated is a benefit or not.

I like a pair that don't leak. Brand really doesn't matter, make sure you hang dry them after use and they should last more than a couple of years.

I liked my breathables a lot better than neoprene. Frog Togg was my brand of choice.

I have a pair of Macks Prairie Wings waders that are eight years old, and I believe they are made by LaCrosse. The have been excellent and have pockets and shell loops in the right place. I am looking to buy replacements now and the basic design of my current waders is being made my Frogg Toggs. I like the high pockets with shell loops integrated into the waders at the chest, so more than likely that is what I will get. If not, probably LaCrosse Brush Tuff Waders.

Check out wingsupply.com. They have some good waders on sale.

Depends on where ya hunting. Standing in cold water with breathable waders is not for me, too cold. I don't have a specific brand, I jus grab what's on sale

I’ve only had 2 pair Cabelas neoprene and a pair of frog togg breathable with the zip out liner. I love the frog togg. I am fat and out of shape and sweat like crazy. The breathables are way easier to move in and I like being able to zip the liner out for early season

I have a set of the Academy Sports Magellan Treadlite 400 breathable that have served me well for 2 years now. I'm not an every weekend duck hunter but I usually walk in about a mile to the hole we hunt, (public land). No leaks so far.

For what is out there on the market right now, I would have to buy a pair of Roger's breathable w/zip out liner. I have a pair or Rogers 5mm that I bought off Gomer (I think) two years ago and love them. The new Drake waders are high as a cat's back but look good. Get on the email list to Wing Supply and they have daily deals that come out. All they are is a clearing house now for overstocks. They used to be a good company to deal with.

My understanding is that Rogers breathable are made for them by frog togg.

Breathables won’t last 20 minutes in the type of stuff I hunt. Duck boat rides, in and out of a kayak, wading through beaver filled timber holes, throw in some barbed wire and you’ll be wet quick. I’ve went through several pairs in the last few years. They all suck, just try to find one that sucks less. The lacrosse brush tuff or the drake late season 1600 gram neoprene’s seem to have gave me the best luck.

I have the same ones. Been wearing them for 2 seasons and expect to wear them again. Buy them a full size larger than you wear and it'll give you room to layer up if it's going to be real cold.

as stated, depends on the type of hunting you do. I've gotten to be a fat-boy, too, so breathable ones for me for ease of movement and no insulation. it is hard to find a dual-season breathable, unless it is like the zip in-out liner... therefore, I have an insulated pair of late season breathables with 1600gram insulated boots and a teal/early season uninsulated pair (cheap) with 200gram boots.
whatever you get, make sure you get a good insulated boot...standing in cold water with low insulation boots just makes for a miserable morning.

Breathable sand don’t look back. , Rogers brand are frogtoggs they work fine but I don’t beat the brush and walk through briars anymore . I just use the gift of gab and my charming personality to gain access to places that are easy to hunt .
