Not is a good way though. The manager at Mc Donalds insulted a Police Officer. What the hell is wrong with people? Does anyone think this crap will end when the President is out of office? These people have only shown the sick people they really always have been. They won't revert to acting normal. The cat is out of the bag. They feel empowered and need to suffer for their actions.

You are not doing your job if some people don't like you. The trick is to work in a town small enough that you should remember those people and not do business with them. Then later on they will come up and apologize and tell you they appreciate you being decent to them when they didn't deserve it and they have turned their life around and want to show you baby pictures. I've had that happen more than a few times. Not as often though as I now have a beard and not as many people recognize me from my long ago days. If they do recognize me it is more likely to be grandbaby pictures these days.

No. The cashier asked for an override at the register and said, "Police get a discount, right?" Then the manager said, "Unfortunately". Manager then looked at the cop and told him "I don't like yall".
The second the cop posted what he did I told my buddy this was gonna gain some attention. The manager was fired the next morning. What I don't understand is why does everyone think their opinion needs to be heard? All I want to hear from the employees at McDonald's is, "Here's your food, have a great day!" Same goes for musicians, movie stars, and everyone else in the world that thinks I give 2 shucks about what they think. Shut up and do your job people.

This mentality of “I NEED to let everyone know how I feel” was started by King “O” when he instructed police officers to give room to rioters and let them express their feelings. It empowered them and set the tone of “I can do what I want”. That was a stupid move on his part. Things happen and life sometimes sucks but law and order must be kept. Some of these people, like the ones that poured water on the officers in NY, needs their head cracked.

It’s where social media has placed us. A lot of these kids are growing up narcissistic and believe they are the center of attention and believe you owe them your undivided attention and must agree with them.

The APD officer who was in the drive thru and made the original comment about the incident on his FB post, which was re-shared who knows how many times, has since deleted it after the APD chief and upper management of the Andalusia McDonald's met.

Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I absolutely support free speech, but there is a time and place to exercise that free speech. When you are on the clock with your employer might not be the best time to exercise that right toward a customer, no matter who he/she is and this particular person found out the hard way.

There are those who are defending the former employee at McDonald's but they fail to understand that most everyone supports his right to say whatever he wants but that it very well may have consequences when you are on the job. There are some suggesting that the former employee file a wrongful termination suit against McDonald's, but since Alabama is an "at will" state I doubt it would get much traction even if the person could find an attorney to take the case.

Being local, I have also seen from others that this particular person was rude to several people, not just law enforcement. So, the termination was likely warranted on other reasons besides what was said to the APD officer.

Seen couple posts trying to turn it racist. I have no idea if the manager was black,white, Hispanic, or whatever but i wouldn’t think race had any part in the manager getting fired
