We were looking through some old pictures last week and came across one of my daughter with a deer she had killed in 1993. What caught my eye was the cooler in the truck - it was a red and white Coleman. I used the same cooler last weekend and it still looks the same after 26 years. I have a 65 Rtic that I keep in the truck most of the time, but I was afraid it might get stolen at the boat ramp so I had used the Coleman instead. Wonder if a yeti will last 26 years?

I have now or have owned in the past, several brands of the high end coolers.
On the hard coolers, I rank them as -
1 - Pelican 2 - Rtic 3 - Brute/Bison 4 - Yeti
Soft coolers, Rtic is better than Yeti which is better than Bison/Brute, with Fishpond a close 4th. Have not tried any of the others.
Rtic #2 and Yeti #4? Their Hard coolers are basically carbon copies of the Yeti 😆 Rtic has better drain plugs and heavier hinge rods. In addition, the Yeti 65 will NOT hold 65 quarts of water, and the Rtic will. You have to go to the Yeti 75 to get the same capacity, and it is currently double the price. Same reasoning on Bison/Brute coolers being between Rtic and Yeti on my list.

I bought an Orca 20 and 58 on a promo sale for near the price of an Rtic when Yeti and the NRA had their falling out. i use the 20 all the time in this heat even left in the cab of the truck it holds ice for a couple days in a regular cooler itll be nothing but water by noon. the 58 is a beast on long trips once you pack it its good for a week or more My orca kept 8lb in a 35 or 40 quart for 2 days this week it was still cool today 3rd day havnt even used yet this summer till this week

I have an ORCA 40, RTIC 20 and Ozark Trail 20. The 40 does as ORCA says it will but my favorite is the RTIC 20. Monday I put 12 bottles of water and all the crushed ice it would hold and it still has ice today and has been riding in the bed of my truck all week. The Ozark Trail 20 is a POS for a cooler. In this weather it will barely keep ice thru the day.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Have you seen the price of ice lately? Ha Ha I don't have them to save money on ice. I bought them for the advantage of not having to drive 2-3 hours round trip in Wyoming to get ice, or to be able to haul frozen meat home in hot weather without it thawing out. If I never went on more than a day trip, or further than 30 minutes from an ice machine, I wouldn't own any of them.

My sons gave me a Yeti 105 It does well but you better have it in the bed of the truck when you load it with ice and drinks .... don’t need a lock most thieves are to lazy or weak to lift it .
