It's vodka in this heat. Bourbon is for cool weather. 😆 Or cheap bourbon and a nice ice cold refreshing whiskey sour. .

Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Wild Turkey 101 and Four Roses are some of my favorites without spending a ton of money. Also was given a bottle of this recently. It's some good stuff, and a LOT smoother than it ought to be, to be 117 proof. But at $50-70 for a 750ml bottle, its more than I usually want to spend.

Buffalo Trace is my go to with an occasional Four Roses small batch

Where do you find it? Never seen it around here.

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

I just got back from a weekend doing part of the bourbon trail and had a great time. We went to Heaven Hill, Willet, Old Forester, and Angel's Envy. For those that enjoy bourbon, you should definitely go to some of the distilleries. I had not tried Larceny before our tasting at Heaven Hill. I confirmed that I do not like wheated bourbons and found Larceny to be terrible. Willet has some good bourbons. The Pot Still is a smooth drink but their Noah's Mill is a high proof and it is smooth for 114.8. Old Forester in downtown Louisville was a great tour and had generous pours for the tasting. Angel's Envy is also a really nice tour but the tasting wasn't that great. You only get the Angel's Envy bourbon and do not get to try their rye finished in rum barrels. I tasted the rye in the bar there and it good.
My go-to bourbons are:
Four Roses Single Barrel Angel's Envy WT 101,and Elijah Craig for a cheaper option
