If using fescue lightly disc it then seed and cover with wheat straw. Fescue is very easy to establish.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

If using fescue lightly disc it then seed and cover with wheat straw. Fescue is very easy to establish. I will say my biggest hesitation to seed is keeping the dogs off of it for a month. That would mean a leash every time they have to go out since they would have to go in the front yard.

Is the yard level? If so, I’d really lean toward seed. It all slopes away from the house. It’s not steep, but it’s a pretty gradual slope. I think if I did do seed, I could roll the yard to pack it down slightly, then the wheat straw should be enough to keep the seed and dirt from washing out.
