But sometimes after supper i sure like to sit on the porch swing, get me a chew of Red Man, and just watch the cows ease around in the pasture. Hard to beat small town living.
A friend, the Bible and a banker will get you though about anything.

I do too..no cows to watch from porch but I work wt em everyday n need a break! I'd enjoy it a lil more if my wife wouldn't come complain about nothing to do in this town while sitting on porch ...after 12 years I've learned to hear what I want 🤣

We usually end up on the porch watching the chickens and ducks chase bugs before going to roost.

This time of year I don't sit on the porch. Too damn miserable hot.

i got some cows, calfs, a couple of bra-ma bulls, some mustangs and colts i can watch from my front porch, while being serenaded by some bob whites. I just wish my front porch was covered. But your right its very enjoyable in the evenings when the sun is setting past the pasture, its absolutely beautiful. I would hate to live in the city.

Most evenings the wife and I sit on the porch to read the paper and watch the wildlife and the sunset. It gets up to the mid-80's in the afternoon, but by dark I usually need a fleece jacket. With our low humidity summers, the temp really drops off after the sun sets behind the mountains. This morning it was 53 at 5:30. Sitting on the porch lets us keep up with the blacktails--which ones have fawns, how the antlers are growing. If I have any meat scraps I put them out and get to watch the foxes gather mouthfuls to carry back to the pups in the den down the ravine. A couple of evenings ago, I had put out some meat, but the crows got it before the foxes arrived. The male fox sniffed around where the meat had been, then walked a ways toward the porch, stared straight at us and barked at us three times.
