Can you name a government entity that you feel isn’t corrupt?

Why did you allow yourself to fall into the aldeer know it all trap?

That is just all kinds of wrong.

From the outside, my dumbarse would have assumed that buying the permit was essentially paying them to use their resources to enforce proper disposal of said nastiness with their environmental protection tools and materials.

No that’s not true. ADEM places fines for not being compliant in environmental laws and regulations not to look the other way. Believe me you don’t want them to show up on your door.

I was at a meeting recently where a new ADEM guy was talking about how much they had collected in enforcement fines this year ( already triple what they did in 2018). An older lady raised her hand and asked if the fine money was going toward proper training courses for employees so there wouldn’t be any reason to fine them. Poor guy looked like he had seen a ghost and started stammering and broke out in a sweat. His final answer was he didn’t know where the money went that was collected from non compliance .

No amount of money will “buy a permit” for a municipality to intentionally discharge untreated raw sewage into waterways in AL.

Please post a link to said permit on ADEM’s website. I’ll even show you where to look.. http://www.adem.state.al.us/DeptForms/default.cnt

Now it may be cheaper to pay the fine than to comply but you can’t simply buy a permit in advance to discharge raw untreated sewage.

So what is your job title with ADEM?

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I don’t work there. I just happen to know a “little” about how the permitting process works (unlike most on here) and was attempting to bring some intelligence to the conversation.

My apologies for letting facts get in the way of a good Aldeer rant!

Now I fully understand why Doekiller doesn’t get involved in legal discussions on here any more.

I’ll be waiting patiently for you to post up that “permit” 🙄

You're only as good as your worst shot-
