Creeks, Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, StripPit Ponds. We swam in them all years ago so what has changed other than we've polluted everything ?? I know the creeks I grew up near fishing and gigging suckers in have no fish in them at all now. Population increase and more people living around waterway with sewage runoff and trash dumping in and near them. No wonder theres some nasty crap people contract from being in the water now
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

Everyone that dies from vibrio has a compromised immune system. If you have one, don’t swim, it’s simple. According to this guy's wife as she told in the article, he was 41 years old, healthy as a horse and never went to the doctor. And didn't have any cuts or open wounds of any kind.

This is scary stuff. Prayers for him and his family. I hope he gets better and sees them all grow to give him grand kids.

I posted about the wastewater sludge and half the people say "oh, it's just chit" . It's rediculess all the loopholes we've found on that stuff. When I started that thread, it was being "dumped" within a few hundred yards of Big Spring Creek! Flowing straight to Guntersville!

It's all fun n games until you contract it. I know my buddy wishes he had full use of his hand, but after several surgeries he's left with a hand like the guy on Scary Movie 2, and still gets puss pockets in his arm 😳

I'll still fish tho if i get it from that it's just my time lol

It’s all silly and over precautious, until you or a family gets it. Scares the hell outa me for my kids. Reckon we’ll just do Disney Hell next year.
If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.
