This is actually the second one this weekend. A lady was killed last night about midnight, in Wetumpka, when her head struck a tree branch extending out over the water, as they passed under it. The driver had to have been running right next to the bank.

Yup, going to the lake doesn't look very attractive.

Stupidity, negligence, irresponsibly and 20 year boat notes.

Usually when there is a certain stretch of highway that get several wrecks the troopers will hit the area hard for a while. Sounds like the Alabama authorities that are suppose to patrol the waterways need to get to work.

It has nothing to do with the boating test or hunter safety course. It's called responsibility. There are too many people on the water who have no idea what they are doing and that they are the only ones that matters in the lake. Too damn many boats, please go back to the beaches.

Use to be that kids were taught to hunt and operate a boat over several years from someone older. Now there are a lot of young people that have money to buy or access to these expensive toys that have never been taught how to properly operate a boat or use a gun. You don't learn those things in a few days.

Majority of the accidents have occurred at night, a dangerous time to be on the water.

Right, RCH. and they don't care to learn, because
they already know everything.

Exactly! We need to crack down on this bs behavior. Need more cops on the water and stiffer fines IMO. I don't even go on weekends anymore because of all the idiots. Something needs to change or people will continue to die needlessly because of the morons.
