Anybody got a good chicken liver recipe? I absolutely love fried chicken livers but they aren’t keto friendly when battered and fried. I’ve never actually cooked any livers but I’ve eaten a bunch of them. Do you need to soak them in salt water or something to remove some of the blood before cooking?

Just eat them raw like oysters. Other than in gravy, I don't know if I have ever seen a chicken liver cooked any other way than fried.

They’re Keto friendly when fried with almond/coconut flour/Parmesan cheese batter.

No thanks.

When I smoke whole chickens, I'll put the same seasoning that is going on the chickens on the livers, and let them cook for about 30 minutes or so. Makes for a nice appetizer. I've never cooked a bunch as a main course for a meal though.

Wrap em in bacon and grill them or cook em in the oven until the bacon is done.

I think I'll try the almond flour and frying.

The best liver recipe, is throw it in a bucket, take it to a pond, hang it on a hook.

Look up a recipe online for frying fish or chicken and use that batter. You have to wet/dry batter a couple times to get a good coating. It ain’t like cornmeal and flour, but damn it’s good when you’re on Keto.

Egg wash, coat in ground pork rinds with or without grated Parmesan cheese. Fry up.

You can season the pork rinds how you want, and experiment with different flavor pork rinds.

II cooked some in my smoker that were pretty good. I seasoned and placed them on foil to prevent them from falling through. Not as good as fried but a lot easier and less cleanup.

I've always wanted to try this. My wife will be out of town this week and that's usually when I can cook stuff I want that I know she will hate. Maybe I'll do this? Just need some fresh livers.

I've got it! I need to do some jalapenos this weekend as my plants are loaded down. I'll do a bacon wrapped jalapeno with liver instead of the Lil Smoked and see how it goes.

Now that sounds good.
