Really enjoyed catching up with you and finding out how some of the old members are doing. I'm on the site regularly, just don't post very much. I just observe the drama, the pissing contests, and the threatened azz whippings. The Cedar Creek hunt helped put faces with handles. Wiley and I both remembered good looking Marla who shot a pig, drug it up, and field dressed it herself. You'll remember a woman like that.

I've bought a pistol from toothdoc, a rod and reel from AC870, and furnished Mangler's kids with bunk beds. Haven't met a bad aldeer member yet.

Wiley and I are both grammar Nazis. Remember boys - alot is not a word and "I seen" ain't correct. Know the difference in Their/they're/there and to/too/two. Also, just because it's a plural doesn't mean you add an apostrophe.

As for the changed screen name, we were at a Toys For Tots dinner (back when we did those things) with some Aldeer & their good looking wives. Andy, Mangler, Brent & Dustin were some I remember. May have been pre-Anna for Dustin. There were several wrinkled noses when Brent announced my handle to the women. Changed it after that.

Y'all remember Sluggun in your prayers. I cannot imagine how he's hurting.

I was smart enough not to bring my wife to those toys for tots dinners. Y’all have me hell for winning a gun every time, but that’s because I bought 2/3 of the tickets 😂

In Jr. High the town doctor’s kid won just about every raffle any of the sports teams or schools had. I complained to my dad and he said the Dr. would walk up before the drawings and buy every unsold ticket for every raffle. So naturally the organizations bought lots of tickets and one of his would get drawn.

I remember that handle from way back.

And to further the spirit of this thread, God bless one and all, new and old, who have offered their prayers, contributed in person, monetarily, sent CARE packages abroad or just said 'Hey' at any point in the continuing journey that alder.com is. At no point in my life have I ever imagined that I'd be among such a spiritually and morally connected group of like minded individuals as what we have here. I'm in awe at any given point on any day.

We've come to know a lot of tragedy on here lately and I ask that you all pray for the rest of us, especially those who have had tragedy to befall them personally. God bless you all.

The hunt was fun and I got a Henry Golden boy in the safe from the TFT raffles. Been here a long time just keep my mouth shut most of the time.
