Granddaughter has a softball tournament July 22-28. Trying to find a place to stay that won't break the bank. We know there's no where to eat so we're going to pack up a cooler with food.

Check out summer house west it’s bayside but u can fish off the pier out back and beach is just across the street

If you were only looking for a place to eat

If you don't mind not staying on the beach and driving a few minutes, look for a place in Foley. My wife and girls stayed in Foley for a tourney back during spring break and it was very reasonable, pricewise. Looking on Orbitz, you can get a place for about $150 per night in Foley. Rooms closer to the beach are gonna run you $200+ per night. Check VRBO...you may find a place closer to GS/OB. Also, when we'd stay in GS/OB during the summer a few years back, many of the rental agencies (Brett-Robinson, Meyer's, etc) would offer a "stay X nights, get a free night" deal.

Or you could stay in pup tents at GULF STATE PARK. It's only in the 80's at night and fighting skeeters keeps you on your toes.

Larry if wasn't afraid they would tote the 2 year old away that wouldn't be a bad option. They could take the 13 year old! I'd come out a lot cheaper! Lol

We camped there in a popup Coleman when I was a teenager. I loved it, but I was just messin wit U Inna!
