I like the pelican coolers. I have a 65 and a 35 qt. I keep the 35 in my truck for drinks at work. 2 bags of ice will get you through a week in July. I mainly use the 65 during hunting season. I keep my groceries in it with a frozen milk jug basically all season. I use a soft side rtic for the beach because the pelicans are too heavy to carry that far.... I have to carry enough crap to the beach as it is !

There are plenty of options in the rotomolded realm these days. Some are better than others but not by much. If you don’t have to keep bears out or ice more than 7 days at a time, go the cheaper route for sure. However, I suggest whatever you get in the rotomolded fashion be securable with heavy cable and a lock if you plan to leave it unattended in the back of a truck. They have a nasty habit of sprouting legs and walking away.

My wife got me a Yeti for Christmas a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how you guys keep ice for long in yours. I open mine about every hour getting water and I have to put 10 pounds a day in mine. It isn't any better than the cheap Igloo I used to have. Only difference I see is I could actually put 45 quarts worth of ice and water in the igloo. The 45 quart yeti only holds about 30 quarts.

My kids gave me a 20qt RTIC and my company gave me a 70qt YETI...both hold ice amazingly well, both require a forklift to carry around, and both were way more expensive than I would’ve paid for coolers. That said, I enjoy both of them, and the price was right on each, for me!

I own an orca 140 I use for hunting camp, and its sweet, but i just bought a lifetime 77qt blowmolded cooler at Walmart for 147 bucks, and it's really nice. They had a 55qt for 98 bucks, but the gasket was on the base of the cooler vs the lid on the 77. Its won multiple challenges and is by far the best bang for the buck. Its grizzly proof and made in the USA. Got both stamped on the lid. I used it for the 1st time camping this weekend and it did really well. I'd check out the lifetime coolers if you dont want to break the bank

X1000 on the cable lock and write your damn name on it .(in case of thievery)
Had a buddy get an RTIC get stolen out of his truck last week . Dumbass posted it on Facebook buy sell and trade 3 hrs later . He asked for my assistance,so we met the methhead that evening to “buy” the cooler for $60 bucks . I am happy to report that it is now back home and securely fastened in his truck . Statue of limitations isn’t up yet or I could give a few more details of our meeting ,maybe the dumbass learned who not to steal from . I came back home feeling like that Toby kieth song “I ain’t as good as I once was,but I’m as good once as I ever was .”

I have 4. Paid a total of $110 for them. All were raffle winnings. Ozark trail would be my pick,if I had to purchase one.

There are several comparisons on You Tube and up to about 5 days timing there isn't much difference in the better constructed ones. The Ozark Trail is right in there with them. I hope they have a big sale for the 4th. I have an old Canyon I bought from Big Game Hunter a few years ago, but it just won't hold ice very long.

I have owned Brute/Bison, Rtic, Yeti, and Pelican in hard coolers. Yeti and Brute got stolen, as cables aren't secure enough.

Bought a Pewag chain and some boron carbide locks, no worries.

Pelican is the best cooler, Rtic best for the money
