Seems like there are a few sites to check your credit, for free,...that are LEGITIMATE, and not trying to sell me something, but I can’t remember what they are. Anyone know? I got a letter in the mail today from a Paypal Credit card, thanking me for opening an account. Has my name, my address, etc...but I never opened a credit account with them. I called the number and they said they didn’t see anything under my name and wanted to look by my SSN, which I wouldn’t give them thinking the whole thing is a scam. Just wanted to check with the credit bureau. Thanks

Yeah but that just checks their records. If someone really has opened an account under my name then they have the info to open other accounts too.
