Ya'll are confusing sashimi and sushi. Sashimi is raw and generally served on top of a pad of rice. The vast majority (I didn't say all) sushi has cooked ingredients. The "sushi" is the rice wrap. Plus I see a lot of ya'lls steak posts! Way rawer than most sushi!! :-) :-) :-) Yeah but my raw ribeye, is way safer than raw fish, that may carry parasites & worms and chit š¤®š I eat both and hope for the best!! Yeah I'm not really knocking it lol. I've actually never tried it, maybe i will one day, if i get stranded on an island š

Rock 'n Roll Sushi is OK but it's "the experience" they're selling. The last time we went here in Huntspatch, the server didn't write down anything. She forgot to bring one item and screwed up another. At least the one she forgot wasn't on the ticket.
I prefer sashimi or sushi instead of rolls and like tuna, snapper and pretty much anything. RnRS is OK. Sorta like Top Golf. They're selling the event.
If y'all enjoy reading and history, get "The Zen of Fish: An Unlikely Saga of Raw Fish and Rice" by Trevor Corson. Great book. Details sushi training, the artistry, how soy sauce is/was made and why, and how Americans pretty much are uncouth slobs when it comes to eating sushi but the restaurants don't care because they're making beaucoup bucks.

The best Sushi I have ever eaten is Chef Sakeās on Old Shell Road in Mobile directly across the road from the University of South Alabama. Eaten there Many Many Times And Sakeās sushi is hard to beat. You need to have Some thick skin if are any other college football fan other than the Crimson Tide. I can eat sushi at Wasabi Juan's here in Bham. Tried it other places and haven't been a big fan.

It is a great documentary and one of few things on my list that I didn't get to do when I lived in Japan, just couldn't manage it. Not going to knock all y'all who like cream cheese and spicy mayo and crawfish and all that, to each his own, but I have been eating sushi and sashimi since I was a little boy. The quality and taste of the fish and seafood you get in Japan is off the chart good. As I have told a bunch of folks, you can get sushi in 7-11s or Lawson konbini (convenience stores) that is several times better than anything you get in a restaurant here. And I got to go to a few high end restaurants while I was there. Unreal quality and service. The food is among the best things in Japan.
