I've picked up lots of them through the years and all were uneventful, though I have never picked up a female who was alone. Last person I gave a ride to turned out to be going to the hospital to visit his wife who had been in a wreck that morning. His car had died and he had abandoned it and someone had given him a ride about half way. Turned out I was headed to the same hospital to see someone else.

I don't pick up every one that I see, but sometimes the Lord will impress upon me to give someone a ride.

Turns out this guy had bailed off the side of the road. riding a scooter, he's a paraplegic, avoiding a semi and had been stuck for an hour, dead battery, cell phone dead, couldn't plug the phone in. It took my friend and me and an Amazon delivery guy who also stopped to push him out of the sand, out of the ditch, and into the shade close to his house so he could recharge his phone and wait for his people. I was thankful to have been there to help. I knew how he felt being stuck with a dead battery in the sand. In a ditch. Helpless. I had a guy, carpenter from Nazareth pull me out of a similar situation once, too.

She actually was a pretty girl. That picture didn't do her justice. She had blonde/white hair but she had dyed it black so she "wouldn't" stand out in Alaska.

I have lots but that's the only one of her.

Hell I’d delete that one quickly. She may only be about 14.

Why in the world did you take a pic of her? Please share the conversation that led up to that.

It’s about a 9 hour drive so we covered a lot of topics.

It dawned on me that none of my guides that worked for me or the clients that were in camp hunting caribou and bear would believe that I picked up a chick from Finland. We discussed that and I asked her if I could take a pic of her for proof.

I broke down on the interstate a couple of years ago about 2:30 one morning heading to work. I didn't want to call anybody that early, and I was only 5 miles or so from work so I grabbed my lunch box and started jogging toward our plant up the interstate. I made it a half mile and and somebody had pulled over and was backing up towards me. When the car got to me it was an older woman, early 70's probably, and she asked if she could help me. I got in the car with her and the first thing she told me was "I used to be a mean m***** f*****". She was headed to nashville but took me on to work and dropped me off. True story.

That story would be so much better, if it began with.... "Dear Penthouse"! 😆

When I was 16 a 60 year old guy named Tom and his mother moved in next door to my grandmother. He told us he was a songwriter which we didn’t believe until he took my dad with him to pitch a song to Ray Stevens. He told us about picking up a hitchhiker woman and finding out later she was a serial killer. Didn’t believe that till he showed us a 60 minutes recording of them interviewing him when she was trying to get out of it. He spent a week with her riding with him and she didn’t kill him. Said he didn’t try to rape her like all the truckers did she killed in self defense. He was bat shucks crazy but apparently he survived a serial killer hitchhiker.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
