Fox News had an article about missingmoney.com. It’s a website that links together all the states Treasury and uncollected funds/property sites. Sounds like a scam but totally Legit. They said over $4 Billion in US is outstanding. I didn’t have any but was able to find many of my family, friends, and co-workers today! Keep your search very broad to begin with then narrow down. Like last name only and Alabama. Then first initial, last name, + Alabama. I never put city because some popped up with old college addresses. Use maiden names too. www.missingmoney.com

I used one of those treasury sites for North Carolina a couple years ago and got about $80 back. It came from a utility company from when I lived there in the early 90's. I called the state first to confirm if it was legit.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I had about $125 from a cancelled insurance policy that I had forgotten about. I got a check a few weeks after making the inquiry. If you do it through the state of alabama it will tell you if you have anything unclaimed and if it's more or less than $100. I did an inquiry about my dad and indeed he had something under $100. I could have gotten a bill through congress on my own with less trouble than trying to collect that money from my deceased father's account. I said they could keep it.

My name came up a time for a closed bank account from when I was in college. I knew it couldn't be much as I never had enough to buy the next six pack and after looking into a bit, all the hoops they wanted to prove it was me made it not worth it. Now if it had been more than a few dollars, different story.
