I didn’t realize how much until I started figuring it up. I’d get up 5 in the morning and start and not stop until I went to bed at 12 at night was working seven days a week and had been for about a year. The total cups were probably around 25 or 30 a day as I was drinking out of a thermos mug. I was also getting caffeine from other food sources as well don’t remember all but had a list that the doc had given me at the time. The damn job and the coffee almost killed me. Took a little over 5 months to get rid of the excess caffeine. I still love my coffee but tow cups a day limit along with two glasses of sweet tea.

Yep...any caffeinated drink. I've about quit drinking tea, though. Stopped drinking swee tea because of the sugar, and most people/restaurants make it WAY too sweet anyway...and if you're going to drink unsweet tea, you might as well save your money and just drink water. Water, [less] coffee, and beer is about the only thing I drink anymore.

I quit soft drinks 6 months ago, i drink one CaddyShack Unsweet Tea w/ lemon every day, and i look forward to that.

I've overhydrated, now I have to take supplements because drinking as much as I do (2 gallons or more a day) will literally wash away all your nutrients and vitamins.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

I figure a gallon a day (unless you're doing an inordinate amount of work/exercise) is plenty.

That's about what I drink unless I'm doing yard work or a trail run, and then might add some "ade" drinks or NUUN for electrolytes.

Y'all need to get to work and quit hanging out by the water cooler. Nobody has time to pee that much.

If smokers can take a 10 minute smoke break, 3x an hour, I figure I can go take a leak every 20 minutes.

It’s actually recommended as an ergonomic control for static positions at your work station if you sit at a desk.

Have you tried the "Liquid IV" stuff you mix into a bottle of water? From what I can tell it basically has the same stuff as gatorade (or better), but significantly less sugar.

The only "ade" drinks I do are Powerade Zero unless I just want a green Gatorade (which is the best one and y'all shaddup). I try different hydration drinks the runners use and like the NUUN, but will check the Liquid IV. Skratch is pretty good.

Water during work hours, but unsweet tea when I get home. Dad was Type 1 diabetic so I grew up with no sugar in the house.

I worked at a steel mill 7 years wearing long sleeve fire resistant clothing all day, they stressed the importance of the 3/1 rule, for every 3 waters consumed you should drink 1 Gatorade or Powerade etc, water doesn't supply all of the nutrients your body needs to stay hydrated.

Glad your OK. I work outside most of the time. When it's hot I drink a 20oz bottle of water at least every couple of hours and sometimes every hour. I can feel when I'm about to get too hot, I stop sweating. Have blacked out a couple times over the years.

12 ounce cup of black coffee in morning at 5:30. Then two 16 ounces of water during the day and when I’m home it’s a 16 ounce glass of decaf tea sweetened with stevia. Water with lemon otherwise.
