Yeah I am guessing it's just a normal wolf like they regularly find there. I would think the head beingv16" would be pretty normal assuming their wolves are similar to timber wolves over here. I will say yawn nothing to see here The sheer age alone is something that many people reading this don't think is possible. And it looks like it did a day after it died. I guess I'm just easily amused. I do have a hard time believing the science behind aging things, especially frozen, beyond a few hundred years. It compromises so much in the decomposition process it’s just hard for me to understand. I don’t know enough to say they’re wrong I just don’t know enough to say they’re right either. I also believe the Bible as the infallible Word of God so if something is actually that old (rocks, dinosaurs, etc) then they were put here by our creator and not a Big Bang. If our God can make a fully mature man then he can make a fully mature earth as well complete with fossils.

Probably just a prehistoric hunting dog that wasn't kept on his side of the valley.

16” doesn’t sound that big, but idk. Looks cool 16" didn't seem big to me either, but looks like a modern gray wolf is in the 9-11" range.

If our God can make a fully mature man then he can make a fully mature earth as well complete with fossils. I sure agree with you that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, but I have never thought the Mature Earth theory was consistent with the nature of God as He is presented in Scripture. I just don't see God being in the business of tricking people. It seems a lot more likely to me that the problem is found in our understanding and interpretation of the Bible. We see that happening over and over in the Bible itself. For example, most of the Jewish scholars at the time of Jesus did not believe that He could be the Messiah because He did not fit their understanding of the OT prophecy about the Messiah. And they took their flawed interpretations seriously enough that they murdered Him rather than consider that they might have misunderstood. I got no idea how old the wolf might be, but I don't believe it has anything to do with the Bible. Just something to think about.

If there really is a Yeti/Bigfoot/Sasquatch it is going to be from Siberia.
And if they ever find a crashed spaceship from extraterrestrials with dead aliens inside........they will find it in Siberia too.

It seems a lot more likely to me that the problem is found in our understanding and interpretation of the Bible. I agree with this 100% Its real easy to read the bible and imagine a white fella writing it down in English, but reality makes it a little more obvious that some things have probably been translated over and over and slightly changed over time.

I guess I'm just easily amused. Well, they regularly find 40,000 year old Woolly Mammoths too and many of them are just as well preserved as this wolf head. And I know that those Woolly Mammoths didn't just die last week.
