We planted about six weeks ago, the rain stopped, but it finally started raining again this week, what should I do with this corn field? What would you do? Is it completely out of the question to try to plant more now?

It's not too late to replant, but fortunately you have a pretty good stand.
Let it ride and fertilize it.

They wrote to fertilize it but what they meant is fertilize the snot out of it. I know it's been dry but that corn looks very deficient in nutrients to me.

That corn field isn’t remotely failed. Especially when it’s just for deer.

Threads like this always remind me there’s a lot of folks who got business planting anything. Not referring to you one bit OP. Some of the replies I’m talking about

No fertilizer will not kill corn deader than hades. Burn it yes. But not kill it unless you have no idea how to figure how much to put.

You just argued with me, not long ago, when I said that broadcasting corn wasn't a good idea because it was much harder to control the weeds. Now you're saying the weeds and grass will take over unless it's RR corn and can be sprayed.
Most people don't plant RR corn. I'm not saying that this particular corn field is an example.
But your argument was against cultivating. I still like the idea of cultivating because it's a very effective way of controlling weed & grass competition, for the majority of us who don't pay the exorbitant price for RR seed.
