The vet can give them something that will kill the fleas pretty much instantly. Our vet gives it to animals they are boarding. I believe it works for 24-hours.
We had few (far from an infestation) in the house last year, we took the animals to the vet and she gave them whatever they give them (left them there for a couple of hours while we went shopping) we bombed the piss out of the house with Raid Flea and Roach bombs while the animals were at the vet.
Flea problem solved.
I know you are describing an outside problem, but perhaps you can do the same thing. Take animals to vet, spray excessively outside and perhaps the problem will be controlled or at least more easily managed.

I have a friend that does pest control, I may call him tomorrow too. HootOwl, I almost went with Demon, but was more familiar with Permethrin so I bought it instead. I may get some Demon WP also after I talk to the aforementioned friend.

I hear Bifen IT works well. You can get it in granular if you have a spreader or liquid if you want to spray it. Good luck. Fleas suck! This get a good sprayer and spray your place once a week for 4 weeks or so should cure it as long as your treating pets too

Demon for the yard stopped em for me. I also read online this vet uses the plain Dawn with no water to cover the animal. Then add just a litle water so you get a lather to start. He claims the the fleas will secrete something that will allow them to repel water before the Dawn can get on them and suffocate them if you use too much water at first. I tried it on a cat that was eaten up with them and it worked.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

The problem with flea control has nothing to do with insecticides. You can spray your yard and home until you are blue in the face, and not make much headway with a bad flea problem. Adults are easy to kill. The issue is the 3rd stage pupa. Napalm will not kill them. So when you have a flea problem, you have all four life stages in the environment. So you spray, and you will kill some eggs, larvae, and adults, but that pupa is still there. So you kill all the others, then the pupa hatches out to an adult, jumps on your dog or cat, takes a blood meal, and reproduces. There is now a whole new generation that people likely don't know about until the population booms again.
The only way to really treat a flea problem is to keep you animals on flea prevention. Capstar will kill the hell out of adult fleas on an animal, but it has no residual activity. A flea HAS to take a blood meal from an animal before they can reproduce. By keeping an animal on prevention, you provide continual adulticidal properties. The 3rd stage pupa hatches out and jumps on the animal to take a blood meal and reproduce, but dies before it reproduces. With heavy flea infestations, it can take months to eradicate all environmental contamination.
Many times, people will complain about a flea product because they are still seeing fleas after using a product. What you are seeing is these pupa hatching out.
I see it every single day. I don't recommend veterinary prescription products just because I sell them. I recommend them because every day I talk to people who have spent a lot of time and money trying to eradicate fleas with products bought from walmart, TSC, etc and they are still having problems. I could spend two days talking about why these products are ineffective, but it's not worth it. People are still going to buy them.

Having a bad infestation myself
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
