Damn. I didn’t know there was such hate for the pellets.

I'm still a fan of a coal smoker, just not a BGE. Some other coal smoker would work fine. Ceramic is where it is at.

The brisket on the Pit Boss pellet grill has no idea it shouldn't be there. LOL

I've had a BGE for over 15 years, the pellet grill was a learning curve, however its nice to fire it up and grill, smoke or whatever.
My BGE warranty is lacking, I've replaced the fire box 3 times at a cost and now the bottom is cracked. Found out my Lifetime Warranty with it is limited now, I must have the original sales slip.
Of course when I bought it I was told never worry cause it was lifetime warrantied no matter what.

Save your money. Get a Weber 26 with a slow n sear, upgrade the gauge, and thermowork smoke thermometer. Best bang for the buck and will do anything you want....

IMO there's no better way to cook a turkey than on an egg. Got an egg and a traeger side by side and the egg only gets used a couple times a year versus a couple times a week for the traeger.

The best deals can be found around Atlanta because that’s where bge headquarters is. There is one hardware store, maybe Roswell hardware that has the best prices.

I know what I am about to type is for The kamado joe brand.... Atlanta grill company is about to have a Father’s Day sale. They have the best price on the Big joe 2 I have ever seen. The KJ3 has just been released. The Kj2 have the lift hinge which is super nice.

I have cooked on a BGE and owned a Primo Large for a few years. I like the offset smoker that I use now better than any of them. Results and control are far better with this unit than I was able to achieve with the kamado style.

Main cook chamber is a 24" diameter pipe, 28" long

One of the guys I hunt with in Texas owns a fab shop. He built it for me a few years ago.

I have the same along with a GMG pellet and a Webber. The Vision gets used so much that the other grills are jealous. The first cook on it was spatchcocked chicken, which is my favorite item to grill on the kettle

May we all die in bed at 95, shot by a jealous spouse

I am ready to buy a ceramic grill/smoker, and now I am more confused than ever.
