Sure you do. It’s called government control. I can remember when you could keep what ever species you caught but there was a numbers limit and you could really get a good mess of fish. It’s becoming a rich mans game. Especially with gas prices. Before long they’ll limit B-liners to 2 per person. Because rich people get to keep more fish?

Either you’re just dumb, or like causing controversy. Who wants to spend $1K to go catch 4 or 6 fish (maybe) besides bee liners that you can bring back to eat? Somebody with a grand sitting around that don’t care if they throw it in the ocean and not even blink.

Doesn’t cost me nearly $1000 to go catch my 2 snapper or a trigger. I do wish they would loosen up on the limits I just enjoy being out on the water, getting some fish to eat is a bonus

Some of it's going to change in 2020. The council voted last Thursday to give snapper management to the gulf states for private vessels. AL is going to get 26% of the recreational allotment.

Went offshore a couple weeks ago just my son and I. The first 4 stops were covered in trigger. Couldn’t even get a bait to the bottom without them picking it clean. I just don’t understand the management strategy behind the dumbasses the set the regulations. You’re allowed ONE fish per person which has to be 15” fork length. Here’s the biggest one I’ve seen out there yet. 8.5 lbs. chase bank aroundWhere do you fish out of Cal? I fish out of Orange Beach all the time.. Hit me up and maybe we can go fishing. I have a 25' Contender named "Havoc" if you ever see me around, give me a holler.. We fish out of Destin

I do wish they would loosen up on the limits I just enjoy being out on the water, getting some fish to eat is a bonus I wish I owned a boat I could do that in (not that I’d waste my time to go catch a couple fish). I’m talking about a charter trip. I think the majority of people that fish in the gulf use a charter rather than having their own boat.
