Sometimes you just need a little luck

Not a very impressive showing for the US. They almost screwed around and gave that goal up late.

First half looked ok. If nothing else, they seemed to be playing with a little more urgency and generally looked more interested than in recent history. And as was mentioned earlier, this is their first game under Berhalter with a full roster, and a few of these players just arrived at camp yesterday. The next couple of months leading up to Concacaf will be a little more telling. I'm cautiously optimistic about Berhalter.

Just something always off about US soccer! Tuesday against Chile will be a great test and example of what we can do going fwd. We still do not have a roster set up to win games against the likes of Europe and Asian teams. We need to filter in attacking personality and be willing to give up goals in order to improve in the long run. We can’t score when teams park the bus on us and we only gonna struggle more against teams which possess the entire game. I’m not excited yet about what I saw!
We have to begin to develop the hazards and Rashford etc. We do not have that! Pulisic I think can do it and I think coming into Chelsea will help. Berhalter has a task I just don’t think we have a competitive
Mentality in our players. We will see

One question I still haven't managed to find an answer to..............Where was Bobby Wood? Is he injured or did he have a club schedule conflict? Bobby Wood and Christian Pulisic are the only ones from the previous group of players that had any business putting a USA jersey on again after the recent showings. Hopefully he'll be available going forward.

Gomer I agree first half was pretty decent, second they last a bit of it. I think once the Team starts getting some more young blood in it then it will start to take off. H4J your right our mentality is not like Europe and others but I believe it is getting better. Only time will tell.
