Dammit. Yβall got me wanting a 7600 30/06 carbine and Iβm freaking broke....
I am searching for one now. After owning a full size 7600 I am itching for a Carbine. Great balance and very constant shooting guns. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/790437796

7mm Rem Mag, 120 Barnes TTSX @ 3450 FPS = bang flop and covers out to 300 yds with no hold over.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

For hunting 100 YARDS and under in thick cover I would like to hear your opinion and why. There is no such thing as a "brush busting boolit". Any projectile you attempt to fire through brush is likely to be deflected and miss and/or partially or even fully mushroomed and depleted of energy if it finds the target. Beyond that, the rifle you choose is personal preference.

I donβt go off col length, I measure chamber and seat off the ogive, seating these .060β off the lands at 2.730β.
