Ha! Had this conversation with my wife the other day. After squaring one up, I asked her why she didn't drive around it? Response...because that's where the road is and it shouldn't have been in the way.

Mrs. Irish acts like she tries to avoid them, but damn near centers every one of them. I think it's a woman thing. I don't get it. This is why I hate for her to drive any of my vehicles. I always feel like I need to apologize to them every time she gets out of one of my cars.

We were up at the cabin on day and she had to take my 4x4 Ranger to the store. Of course she was gone twice as long as I thought is should take a man to go to the store. grin And she pulls up and I go out to the truck to help her unload the stuff and I was almost knocked down by the smell of dead skunk. I was like...

"Did you run over a skunk?"

"Is that what it was?"

"Um that's what that smell is..."

"Well I couldn't miss it."

"What do you mean 'you couldn't miss it.' Did it run out in front of you?"

"No it was just laying there dead in the middle of the road."

Of course that's when I just threw my hands up. My truck stunk for several days after that.

Potholes and warped rotors. I think they hit potholes because that's what they focus on. I don't look at pot holes and I don't hit them. Regarding warped rotors, I think my wife and daughter think if they approach a stop sign fast enough, that the stop sign might move. Wimmens car braking should be an Olympic sport. See who can stop the shortest the fastest.

About once a month I get the "my steering wheel is shaking when I stop." About once a month they get the, "Yep, your rotors are warped from stopping too quickly. Drive it like it is, because you'd just warp the next ones too."

Both true here my wife’s minivan has two speeds one of the petals is mashed to the floor at all times. I have threatened to put a dang rev limiter on it. We do a couple of trips a week to children’s on average and her rotors get changed every 30,000 miles. I started buying the drilled and slotted police models when she drove a Tahoe because they weren’t making it 30k. My truck has 168k and still on the first set. It’s a woman thing just have to take it as is because we sure the heck ain’t gonna get them to change.

You cannot avoid them on Chilton County roads, unless you drive in the ditch.
I once told my brother (while bitching to him painting new C/Ls) that I cannot see the road at night, and that I know when I've run the road only because the ride gets smoother!

I once asked a feller in texas...which is like..the land o' tha dirt road....why do you drive so fast.....he said.."well...they aint gonna fix the road...an..i dont like bumps...an it seems like everything gets smoother at 75mph" looked like a dust tornado....you could see him comin a mile away...everbody drove like that on those roads...county would come in a bladem in the spring and that was it....beware the used texas truck...just cause its got low miles and its a great deal dont mean it aint seen nothin but a south texas dirt road its whole life....#1 indicator....if the bed is cracked right behind the cab run away..cause i never saw truck last more than 100k miles without the bed crackin and havin the front end replaced twice...and the dust wreaks absolute havoc on engine internals...youll need to change the air filter 3 times between oil changes....if you stay on highways mostly...more than that if you ranch ride in the summer..i saw a 6.2L f350 suck the air filter in the throttle body one time...thats 100% truth too....that truck dropped a valve at 45k miles...2013 model..saw a many a truck die at or under 50k miles out there..tundra held up the best..fords held up 2nd best..everthing else just didnt come close..south texas is rough on a truck.

I was putting a set of rotors on the GF's car once a year. Ebay drilled and slotted rotors have lasted 3 yrs now without warping.
I think women are drawn to potholes like magnets. Unavoidable.

I'm very lucky. My wife drives from the right seat.
She tells me when to brake, when to pass, where to turn and how to park. 😆

Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

She'd sit home or drive her own car at my house.
