What's the difference between a Finnlite 75 and 85? The 75 is the older (and a lot of times more desired) version of the finnlite. the main noticeable difference is on the stock. The 85s have grooved hand grip and forearm inserts (the grey portion) where the 75 is smooth. At one time there was talk of the 85s having some feeding issues but I think that was mainly in the LA calibers.

At one time there was talk of the 85s having some feeding issues but I think that was mainly in the LA calibers. I've got an 85 in 300 WSM that will drop the empty case back into the ejection port pretty regularly. I've noticed it mostly does it when I'm single feeding them at the range with the magazine empty.
