Stevens 555E Over & Under Reviews

I am interested in the Stevens 555E (Enhanced) mostly for dove hunting.
There is not one at a dealer in the Mobile area for me to handle and was wanting to see if anyone has had experience with one.

I've never handled one, but I remember reading this review from Dave in AZ a few years ago. Dave seems like one of the most reasonable people on the internet when it comes to guns and reloading, so I would trust his info. He lists the good and the bad. It's made in Turkey and it doesn't seem that Stevens keeps a lot of parts. I'm not sure any of the Turkish guns are different in that regard.

I’d put them on par with yildiz. They have a youth model short LOP 24in barrels and extractors which I prefer over ejectors.
