A 30-06 with high gloss bluing and deep grained walnut. I’ll try to post up some more pics after I get a scope mounted on her but I was blown away by the stock on this rifle.

Zeiss used to make a scope with a 72mm objective that might look good on that rifle....

I had some Leupold dual dovetail bases and Burris signature rings in my junk box and dig out a gloss VX2 3-9x40 that was collecting dust in the back of a closet.

Nah AU338, got a feeling he’s traveling light with this. Probably Gonna put a rail on it and go with an EOTech or maybe a Romeo 5 with the high mounts so he can co-witness with those iron sights I feel sure he ordered it with. Gonna be his 100 or less gun. No sense in having wood that pretty on one if the stuff youre shooting with it isn’t close enough to be able to admire it before they die. If only it was a 6.5 Creed instead of an 06, then he’d really have something..........

Gorgeous wood on that one BC.

Now the question is, who needs a like new Kimber Montana 30-06? 😂 Gonna have to walk one out to the back forty and put a 22 short in her ear.

That is straight up Friday Night gun porn!! As Quagmire would say “giggity giggity goo!”. BCLC has all the best gun loving around. More to see in his vault than Victoria Secret catalog! Always let us less fortunate know when you are about to have one of your firearms walk the plank!

So says the new King of PRC 😂...I’ll be picking up cans for the next 2yrs before I can afford a box of that 6.5PRC ammo. You got that badass Mesa sighted in yet? I imagine it’s gonna be a heckuva shooter.

Thanks Wesley, I really appreciate that. I’ve had too much carbon/Kevlar/stainless on my mind here lately and needed to scratch a different itch. 165gr Partitions and H4350 to stay with the classic theme. Hopefully she’ll shoot as good as she looks. It’s an unfired older New Haven gun that was on the rack right beside several of the newer model BACO and Made in Portugal M70’s.

An unfired New Haven model! That's just straight up sinful. grin Can't beat the old M70 trigger for a hunting rifle.

Where did you find that beauty?

The Odd Duck gun shop in Coalgate, OK. Same place I found that Featherweight 257Bob. I check with him from time to time because he doesn’t list all of his inventory online.

Been glass shopping for 2 days. Not sure yet what it is going to be. Having too many options is a great thing. Lots of great stuff out there these days.

If you want some SERIOUS glass for your 6.5 PRC, take a look at the Leupold Mark 5 HD 5x25.

Special thanks to a Mcarbo replacement spring reducing the trigger pull by over half. From 5.5+ lbs and very inconsistent to 2.25lbs and crisp as can be...every...single...pull. Squeeze trigger, dent primer, burn powder, smile. Life is good.
