Scopes - 01/04/21 01:10 AM

Recently had a browning bbr in 7mm mag handed down to me. Looking to put a scope on it. Can’t really spend more than 500-600 but I feel like it deserves the best I can get. I like the idea of open turrents but not a deal breaker and would like 50mm. Thank y’all

Congrats on the new rifle. Get ready for a wide variety of suggestions. My 2 cents, regardless of which scope you pick...make sure you buy quality rings/bases to mount the optic. They don’t have to be expensive just dependable.

Talley lightweight ring/base combo is rock solid.

Buy the best scope you can afford, even if that means used, $600 goes a long way on used German/Austrian glass.

Used Zeiss conquest (older model). Maybe one of the Meoptas would be a good choice. Seems like I bought one a few years ago on sale for $699.00. Pretty decent scope for the money. Good luck.

I just got a Bushnell Nitro 3x12x44 after my old Elite had issues. For $399, it seems to be a great piece of glass.
I compared with my Burris Euro 50 mm and believe the Bushnell was better.

Ive got the bushnell nitro as well. Good scope imo. I just bought a vortex viper and i swear its right there with my zeiss conquest hd5. Big price difference in the vortex and zeiss. I paid $400 for the vortex on sale 6x24x50

I run meopta on my hunting rifles. The meopro line you can get for under $500.00 and they made the glass for Zeiss

The vortex i did. I paid $389 i think. It was marked down about $300. Has a mildot reticle, which im not particularly fond of but i havent had any trouble with it. It shows up pretty good in low light. The nitro i got fron europtics 1/2 off, then got a $60 rebate card from bushnell. Ended up with about $230 in it
