What are you looking and thinking about getting as a new addition to your firearm stable?

I’ve been looking at left handed bolts in 338 federal and also would like a 35 rem lever gun.

Really liking the CZ's lately.

Been looking for a long time for a decent Winchester Model 88.

I have embarked on a Savage 99 collection.

I want to jump into the 6.5 madness, but not with a Creedmoor. Looking at the Model 700 Sendero II in 264 Win Mag. But for a couple hundred more can get a Nosler 48 in the same and not have to worry about it being a POS.

That sounds like an EXTREMELY nice rifle. A more local stock option is AG composites.
My new Barrett Fieldcraft uses AG composites as their OEM.

Barrett Fieldcraft is a crazy nice weapon. I looked at the AG heavily and still may go that route.

Never owned a Henry , I like the looks of them, that .22 with the long , octagon barrel is some kinda sharp. With the long barrel and sight plane I bet it'll shoot too.

Two guns in the last year: Winchester 1890, 22 pump, 100 years old, my aunts’I grew up around, was left to my cousin and he sold to me. Also, mouth had been watering for , a Ruger PC9, found one from a guy that had two and I put a Strikefire red dot on it , wayyy to much fun!

What would I want, well Santa let's get started --- how about a 58 Winchester auto (just because my favorite uncle/second dad had one, but sold it in his dementia age--still have his 1100, 742 in 6mm, and a model 12-he didn't go completely out of it I guess, nothing like having guns passed down---I still turkey hunt with the model 12, old school, plus it was the gun at age 10 I killed my first Tom, I've carried it since, now at 54, it still fits my hand like nothing else I've ever carried in the woods) . Now Santa, what could I use this year -----Maybe a great shooter in 25-06 for a grandkid (The problem is, do I want a laminated stock or truly go old school with a nice wood stock), next, a Steyr SSG-08-A1 in .338 (just because), and let's round it out with a couple nice H&K USP's one in 9mm and one in .45. Ok, I won't be greedy, just a 9mm so I can run it at a range with the son-in-law. It says in the bible, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's, children..." The guns I have now, and the ones I will obtain, plus the irrevocable trust, and helping lead my family to the Lord, do you think I'm at least on the right track?

Look for a Dan Wesson. Great guns and supposed to be very accurate. I've got a .357 I got for under $275 at a gun show and a .44 mag I paid WAY too much for (but I love it).

They aren't as collected as S&W or Colt's, so bargains can be had. I'm happier with the high end stuff I bought cheap (but blemished) than I'd have been with brand new similar for the same money. Good luck.

Marlin I think is coming out or has come out with one in .444 that's threaded. Saw it in the last issue of Shooting Times. It caught my eye but I haven't looked into it much.

If I see one at the Shot Show I'll finger bang it and tell you what I think. Pretty sure it is threaded. The .444 will take care of business. If you want to shoot subsonic 45/70 works but I've gone round and round and wound up at a different place. I like .450 Bushmaster personally (Not an AR platform) because you can shoot a pistol bullet (I'm shooting a Ruger American) that will actually expand at low velocity. They have some decent pistol bullets in .429 as well so the .444 might be a winner subsonic, for example. slinging something like a 240 grain gold dot. That should do it.

I just ordered a Kimber Custom II 1911 in 10mm. It gets mixed reviews, but I love every Kimber I've ever had and have had no trouble with any. Been missing both a 1911 and a 10mm from my safe for a while now, but not for long. It was some SHOT show special and I wound up paying $644 to my FFL. I remember they were at least that much 20 years ago. I figure it's worth a shot.
